Resin Insulated Transformers offer the following characteristics:- Maintenance free
- Moisture Proof- capable of being operated in high humidity, salty or pollution prone environments and is capable of being energise after long periods of storage without drying
- Short Circuit Resistant – the dynamic strength of a resin insulated transformer under conditions of short circuit, is superior to that of oil insulated transformers
